About the Author
Jeff Wingo resides in Ohio with his wife and daughter. He is a devoted student of the Scriptures and for the past twenty five years has served the local church as a teacher, elder, Sunday school superintendent, pulpit supply, and board member. He is an avid reader, a collector of books, and enjoys fishing and target shooting in his spare time. His interest in UFOs began in 1980 after a visit to the Nevada Test Site near Area 51. Not long after this visit Jeff and several friends observed a UFO over Johnstown, Ohio. For over twenty minutes they watched the mysterious object chase and harass a small airplane. Many years later in 1997 while traveling east across highway 50 in Indiana, he caught sight of approximately fifteen glowing objects as they slowly maneuvered across the night sky. Other travelers commented about the same objects via CB radio. These and several other incidents convinced him that there must be something more to UFOs, and this led him to look into the subject more closely. This book is the result of that investigation. It details the intimate connection of the UFO and alien phenomena to the occult, demonism, and the ancient prophecies of the Bible.

This book is an in depth look at the ancient alien question and the Bible and how the two relate. The book is extemely well documented to back up all of the reseach in this book. With all the shows on TV, regarding UFO's, this book gives a comparision to what was written centuries ago in Bible. If you have any interest in either of the two subjects this book is a must read.

It's very clear after reading the first chapter, that the author has done a ton research on the subject. The book is a good read, I think the UFO/alien question is a good one.. What ever they are?

Awesome in-depth exploration of all aspects!

I was surprised to see the two star review here, but I guess it is all about expectations. This book is the only one I've found that breaks down a VTOL UAV into its core components and drills down to bedrock on each one. This is currently my bible as I try to better understand how to manipulate and optimize my machine for my intended purpose - capturing high quality cinematic footage.

You can buy ARTF kits (almost ready to fly) and with a little soldering, a little programming to get the radio set up properly, and a lot of reading on countless discussion forums (to translate vague instructions not well translated into English) you can take to the air with reasonable competence. That seems to be all the two-star reviewer would like to accomplish at this point and that's fine, but you are going to need this book soon enough! These things fly great until they don't. Your idea of what you'd like to use your quadcopter for will change, and when it does, you can hunt for an overpriced RTF that's "close" to what you need, or you can tweak your craft on your own and get it exactly right. If the latter sounds more appealing to you, this book is for you.

I'm not even building an Elev-8 quadcopter - but the topics and the clear language in this book are universal. It's rare to find someone with this level of passion and knowledge about a technical subject who can also make it this accessible.

If nothing else, this book will expose you to questions you didn't even know to ask. I bought this elsewhere because of a gift card I was given, but I bought the tablet version. I think I will order a print edition here on Amazon as I expect to spend a lot of time in this book.

Excellent Book...but not for beginners.

This book is a comprehensive and in depth look at every system and circuit needed to make a Elev-8 copter. I will admit it is not for people that are not somewhat familiar with engineering or technically inclined. I admit that I have a degree in engineering, but I knew nothing about RC planes and quadcopters. After reading this one book, I am comfortable talking about them with people that have built them and fly them. I will be ordering my Parallax copter next month...it looks like a new design is in the works :)

Excellent Text on Plasma Discharge Fundamentals

This text was used in my graduate electrical engineering course on gas breakdown physics offered at my school (a major U.S. technical university). The fundamentals of electron / ion generation in various electric field configurations and pressure conditions are covered in analytical detail, including all of the essential breakdown mechanisms which have been studied in literature. Also included is a great deal of experimental data useful for practical laboratory experiments with plasmas. The text is written at a level which should be useful for early graduate students in engineering or physics (beyond the level of F. Chen, Introduction to Plasma Physics), although it comes easier depending on the student's background in plasma physics, statistical mechanics, or circuit theory. This book covers essentially the same material as the much older text by E. Nasser (Fundamentals of Gaseous Ionization and Plasma Electronics), but is much cheaper (

On the shoulders of the sociologist who stood before him, Gergen’s An Invitation to Sociological Construction shows how systems work and influence the people surrounded by those systems; it is an enriching experience for the readers through both it context and content. Its context is educational and transformational and its content is understandable to inexperienced or experienced readers on concepts related to sociology.

Gergen takes his views one step further than did other contemporary sociologists. Gergen shows how language influences sociology; words influence sociology (not only what we say, but how we say it). Gergen advocates for a comprehensive awareness that all do not necessarily have the capacity to attain. Looking at the world through a theoretical sociological lens, Gergen is able to utilize his previous work in Psychology and Sociology to explain many of the paradigms we see in the world today.

I enjoy the way that Gergen constructed his analyses; it feels like Gergen is having a conversation with the reader, rather than just a lecture-method of authorship. This is a book that I will remember for a long time, and will certainly keep on my bookshelf, as Gergen’s work can be extrapolated to encompass a variety of sociological and psychological concepts (ones he specifically discussed and others he did not). Gergen is an intellectual, a professor, and researcher-- this particular work will (arguably) become one of the books that Kenneth Gergen is most known for having written.
